Optical fiber adapter is the most widely used optical passive device in optical fiber communication system. Most optical fiber connectors are composed of three parts: two optical fiber connectors and a coupler. Two optical fiber connectors are mounted on two ends of the optical fiber, and the coupler acts as an alignment sleeve. In addition, most of the couplers are equipped with metal or non-metallic flanges to facilitate the installation and fixation of connectors.
Optical fibers are connected by adapters through their internal open sleeves to ensure the highest connection performance between optical fiber connectors. In order to be fixed on various panels, various fine fixed flanges are also designed.
The two ends of the adapter can connect different interface types of fiber optic connectors and provide connections between APC terminals. Dual or multiple adapters can increase installation density and save space.
